Thankful For Repentance

At a bible study last night we studied from the book of Zechariah. His message from God was about how the ancestors of the people had prophets from God sent to them to tell them to turn back to God and away from their evil doings, but they did not. God was using Zechariah to deliver that same message.

Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

As we discussed this one of the things that came out was Yahuah’s (Lord) willingness to turn to us when we turn to Him. I think of my own life and the times when I do not do what God has said to do, or I do something else, and then I think of who God is. He is Yahuah (Lord) of hosts (everything). Yet He cares enough for each one of us that He will turn to each of us if we turn to Him. I am so thankful that He does not just write us off. He loves us and wants to care for us.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You. We give praise and thanks to the name Yahuah (Lord). Send us Your overwhelming provision today. We ask that You forgive us. We turn to You. Please turn to us, Father. We are desperately in need of Your love and mercy. Heal us from our past and our afflictions. Deliver us from the evil that would steal from us. We need You. You are our All in All. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
