The Along Side Traveler
In an email today I was included with others who have a common friend. This friend was recently in a car accident that has left certain damages to them physically and financially (not this persons fault as they were rear ended). Lately I have been trying to understand what God wants me to do in a more specific moment by moment manner. Our Messiah seemed to be more clear on this by watching heaven.
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
It seems that the Father is doing something and saying something in heaven, and we are to do and say it here it here. We are told to do the things He did.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
We have the opportunity to do what Jesus did, if we will listen and follow after His example.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You as our King. We need Your kingdom in the earth. Send us Your abundant provision today. Help us not to give in to temptations, and forgive us when we have. Heal and deliver us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
