All Together
It was early when I woke up this morning and could not get back to sleep. My mind started off busy. I was thinking about how all of us as believers are really working together toward the common goal of living together forever with God. When we do this well, we all are the better for it. Sometimes we get this wrong and end up striving with people to get our own way. Or maybe we think we understand some spiritual point better than someone else. In either case we truly miss the blessing of all being together spoken of in scripture.
Palms 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Although only three verses, this sums up well what occurs when we work together to serve God. And to do this we only need to seek Him first. If we are all doing that at the same time, then we are all going in the same direction together. Everything works out then.
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
If we can find it within ourselves to just seek the best, then we will all be building each other up. We will be working together as a team. We will one day stand together in front of our King!
Prayer
Father, we exalt You as the Most High. We need You and Your love. Maybe even more we need Your kingdom in the earth. Help us today Father. Send us Your abundant provision. Forgive us when we do wrong. Heal and deliver us. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.
