Happy Thanksgiving!

As I sit here with my coffee this morning and look out on the snow, I think about this day and giving thanks. There is so much to be thankful for it can be difficult to begin. Mostly I think I am thankful that God does not give up on me. It is difficult to understand His long-suffering towards people. I know that as I try to walk through life becoming a better person by walking in His ways, I continue to struggle. It is that heaviness that Peter spoke of when we are trying to get past something. But God never gives up on us. This is a good thing, a blessing, and something we can all be thankful for today.

Psalms 100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Today, let’s enter into His courts praising Him for the day.

Prayer
Father, we exalt You as our King. Let Your kingdom be among us today on this day when we give thanks. We need You and Your kingdom today. Help us to know more of Your ways and to serve You better. Give us abundant provision today. Please guide us. Help us to be more like You every day, even if it is just a little more each day. We love You. Thank You for this day. Heal and deliver us. In Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name. Amen.
