Days Like These
In the past there have been many times that I would begin a sentence with “On days like these…” It was rarely when what followed was something positive. Over time I have come to realize that for me the reason I felt things were not positive was really something that I was either doing or not doing with regard to focusing on God. I was focused on everything around me instead. When I focus on God, I become thankful.
Psalms 95:1O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
When I can get myself to slow down and think of God, it makes me thankful and happy.
If you struggle today, take a moment and think about God first, and thank Him for what He has done. I think you will find this helps get back on track.
Prayer
Father, we praise and exalt You. You alone are the King of the kingdom we long to see. Please send Your kingdom today. Send Your overwhelming provision. Forgive us when we fall. Let Your healing and Your deliverance come to Your people today. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.
