Weary But Thankful
Ever had one of those days that started early, ended late, and seem to go on forever? Yesterday was one of those days for me. There was so much to do for work, and I had friends that needed to talk with me in their situations when I did take a moment for a break. But as I reflect on it now, when I was finished very late, I had to smile. God had blessed the day. Today, as I reflect upon such blessing in my weariness, I am very thankful. It reminded me of a psalm.
Psalms 118:1O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
We will have those days of challenge. But at the end of them we can be thankful that God was with us as we walked through them.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. We are so very desperate for Your kingdom upon the earth. We are very thankful for You being with us in good times and bad, when we are on the path and when we slip away You bring us back. Please send today Your healing, deliverance and overwhelming provision. In Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) name. Amen.
