Comfort In Friends
If you have ever had the chance to reconnect with an old friend, you will understand my writing. It is an interesting time as one relives the moments, good and bad, with that person. Ultimately we can walk away feeling good or bad. But feeling good or bad is a choice that we get to actively make. And when we make that choice, we make it of our own free will. We do not have to chose one or the other. We get to chose one or the other. Recently I had such an experience and I chose sadness, and then chose to be happy and to move forward in pursuit of being a better person. This pursuit of being a better person may in the end be exactly the point YAH is trying to make. He wants us to choose to be happy and to choose to be better. And He wants us to call on Him for comfort in these things.
Psalm 8:1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies,
That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
And the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels,
And hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;
Thou hast put all things under his feet:
7 All sheep and oxen,
Yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea,
And whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD our Lord,
How excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Praise the name YAHUAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here, on earth as it is in heaven. Send me now Your provision. Forgive me my trespasses and transgressions, and help me to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against me YAH. Keep me from temptations here. Keep me in Your ways. Deliver me from the evil here and the evil plans men have for me. I ask all these things of You Father King in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.
