Yom R’vi’i, Tevet 28, 6005 – January 13, 2021
It Starts With Me
When I hear folks speaking about spiritual warfare, I try to listen to their perspective. I try to make certain that I am listening to hear what they are saying. Most recently I have been hearing many people discuss what is going on in the U.S. and the world. Frankly, it is a bit on the odd side to me. But I am fine with that as each person has their own responsibility to God. And that is really the point I am trying to make here. Real spiritual warfare begins inside of each of us where we wrestle to become the very best person we can become. This we are each called to do. It is an important part of our lives.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
We see here that Paul encourages us to work on ourselves. This is an important point. If we fail to keep working on ourselves, how will we be able to best overcome the darkness external to us? It would be like fighting ourselves. We will always need to be vigilant to strive towards perfection. We will arrive one day, when the Messiah returns.
Prayer
Father, we exalt You. You alone are King. Praise the name YAH! Let Your kingdom come here, and let Your will be done here, on earth as it is in heaven. Send us now Your provision. Forgive us our trespasses and transgressions, and help us all to forgive those that have trespassed or transgressed against us. Deliver us from the evil here. Send in quickly the overwhelming financial blessings that we might overflow to those around us. We ask all these things of You Father King, in the name YAH Yeshuah HaMashiach. Amen.
